Founded in 1928, Hengji Textile has a history of 86 years. In 1928, "Minhua Cloth Factory" was formally established. After the foundation of New China, Minhua Clothing Factory was transformed into state-owned enterprise from joint state-private ownership enterprise. In 1960s, it was officially renamed as "Changzhou No. 8 Weaving Factory". With change of times, the "Changzhou No. 8 Weaving Factory" was merged with "Changzhou No. 5 Cotton Textile Factory" to be restructured to "Changzhou Hengji Textile Co., Ltd. " in the beginning of 2000.
Hengji Textile is situated in Changzhou Tianning Economic Development Zone called "Source of China's Corduroy" where geographical position is superior and transportation is convenient with availability of Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Highway and 312 National Road. Hengji Textile has 500 personnel, including 75 engineering technicians. Its factory covers an area of 133200 m2, and its building area is 55675 m2. Its annual sales reaches 0.385 billion.
