Alumina ceramic foam filterMainly used for filtration of aluminum and aluminum alloys in foundries and cast houses.It is characterised by excellent stability and resistance towards heat shocks.The complexity of filters is not damaged during the casting process.
With their excellent resistance to attack and corrosion from molten aluminum, they can effectively remove inclusions, reduce trapped gas and provide laminar flow, and then the filtered metal is significantly clearner.Clearner metal results in higher-quality castings, less scrap, and fewer inclusion defects, all of which contribute to bottom-line profit.
Metallurgical filters are manufactured for use in smelting works for primary and secondary processing of aluminum and its alloys.The range of standard sizes includes 7,9,12,15,17,20 and 23 inches.The filters are manufactured in the shape of square plates with bevelled sides of 17°.With the purpose of exact placement and good sealing in the filtration box, the boxes are equipped with sealing gasket consisting of a fibre mat of various thickness or with expandable gasket.
