Character: White powder, nontoxic, specific gravity 1.08, not dissolved in water, Dissolving point 148-155 Degree Celsius, dissolved in hot ethanol and aether.
Usage:
1. As stabilizer and lubricant of PVC, Calcium Stearate is used in film of food package, medical, nontoxic soft products.
2. Along with basic lead salts and lead soap, Calcium Stearate is used in rigid plastic products.
3. As lubricant and mould releasing agent, Calcium Stearate is used in polyolefin and polyester to reinforce plastic and resins which are thermo-plastics.
4. As raw material, Calcium Stearate is used in flatting agent of paint and core of pens making.
