The safe is made of 12-gauge steel, and includes such extra-secure features as a drill-resistant hard plate, 10 solid-steel 1-1/4-inch-diameter locking bolts, and four-way locking bolt work. The safe also stands up to fire emergencies, with three layers of 1/2-inch fireboard in the door, two layers of 5/8-inch fireboard in the body, and a Palusol heat-expandable door seal. As a result, the safe can withstand up to 75 minutes of fire exposure at 1,400 degrees F. And the Home safe activates an auxiliary "re-locker" when it senses someone is tampering with the electronic lock. Upon detecting the interloper, the safe automatically moves the "re-locker" back into position to keep your items extra safe.
Other features include two shelves and two storage drawers to help you organize your stuff; a de-humidifier hole; a chrome single-lever handle; and a powder-coated granite gloss exterior. Offering 6 cubic feet of interior storage, the Home safe measures 26 by 42 by 20 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 420 pounds. The safe is UL listed for burglary and is backed by a transferrable lifetime warranty and a free replacement guarantee if the safe is damaged in a burglary attack or fire.
