Potassium Carbonate. Melts without decomposition, on further heating decomposes.
Very soluble in water (strong hydrolysis on the anion), creates a high alkaline environment. Reacts with acids, non-metals, oxides of nonmetals. Participates in exchange reactions.

4.Application:
Potassium Carbonate is used as raw materials in manufacturing electrotube,TV kinescope, computer display.
It is applied in optical glass improving clarity, strength and refractive index.
It is also applied in electrode avoiding electric arc breaking-off during welding.
It is used to produce food additives, food leavening agent, preservative, dehydrating agent, PH value regulator and so on like potassium sorbate, monopotassium phosphate, etc.
Potassium Carbonate is foliar spray fertilizer and a constituent of compound fertilizer.
In dyeing industry, it is used to produce vat dyestuff and discharge of ice dyeing.
5.Packing and storage:
Packing: 25kg/bag, 50kg/bag, 1000kg/bag
Store in dry and ventilated house away from moisture. Avoid handling and transporting together with acid substances. In the event of a fire, use water as extinguishing agent.
