So it eliminates the harmful effects that these elements caused for the surface quality of the casting and environmental pollution. In addition, when this self-hardening sand is used for the higher acid consumption sand, it will have better hardening property. Therefore, it can be used the binder for alkaline special sand (such as forsterite sand, chromite and so on) producing high manganese steel casting.
