Product Description
Laminated glass is combined by two or more layers of glass with one or more layers of PVB film (polyvinyl alcohol butyral) through a high temperature and high pressure processing. According to different purposes, laminated glass can be divided into flat laminated glass, curved laminated glass, bullet-proof glass, security laminated glass and decorative laminated glass.
Performance and Features
High level of security
Because of the tough solid bonding between PVB film and glass, the destruction from the external powerful forces only create the cracks. Its fragments are solidly bonded with PVB film, which can avoid the personal or property damage caused by the falling glass. The entire piece of glass is still intact, and it can continue to withstand impact and act as the wind shelter. Experiment measured that the general bond strength of laminated glass is normally 2500 pounds / inch or more.
Safeguard and security features
Laminated glass has the function of person and property protection. The standard "two with one" enables the glass to withstand the penetration of the general impacting compounds. The specialized bullet-proof glass with PVB film can withstand bullets and violent attacks; the metal wired laminated glass can effectively prevent the theft and destruction incidents.
Noise characteristics
The sound damping function of PVB film enables the laminated glass to effectively control the spread of sound and play a good sound insulation effect. The STC value of ordinary laminated glass is usually 35-41.

PVB film has a UV-filtering feature which enables the glass to protect the interior materials from fading caused by ultraviolet radiation.

Yunlong paper or other patterns inside the laminated glass can achieve the decorative effect, and the ice glass also has the decorative effect.
