Lead sulfate tribasic
Molecular formula: 3PbO·PbSO4·H2O
Chemical name: Lead sulfate tribasic
Properties: White powder, sweet, specific gravity 7.1, melting point 820ºC, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, soluble in nitric acid, hot concentrated hydrochloric acid, ammonium acetate and sodium acetate solution. Lose water of crystallization at 135ºC and turn yellow. Also can be yellow under the sun. Easy to deliquescence.
Use: Used as plastic industry stabilizer.
