It is in dictated for the infections due to Staphylococcus, Streptococcus Pneumococcus and anaerobes, etc. 3)Precautions: It may cause enteritis of pseudomenbrane after prolonged administration. Patients with hepatic insufficiency should use prudently. 4)Storage: To be protected from light and stored at cool &dry place. 5)Dosage: The usual dose for adults: 1.5-2g a day, daily in 3-4 divided doses, for children: 30-60mg per kg body weight a day, daily in 3-4 divided doses.
