Characters of Magnesia Chrome brick:MgO and Cr2O3 are the main components of Magnesia Chrome brick. Cr2O3 can increase the refractory bricks erosion resistance ability to mirabilite (salt cake). The main raw material are sintered magnesite and chromite. Magnesia's purity should be as high as possible, chromite chemical composition requirement is: Cr2O3:30 ~ 45%, CaO: 1.0 ~ 1.5% or less. Applications of the Magnesia Chrome brick:The Magnesia Chrome bricks are mainly used as chequer bricks of the regeneration zone. The chequer bricks are working in conditions of air and coal gas, oxidation and revivifications reaction, high temperature changes and condensation of alkali smoke. So the checker brick which is made of alkali refractory materials is the best choice to work for such atmosphere. Magnesite-chrome bricks are wildly applied in metallurgical industry, such as constructing open hearth furnace top, electric furnace roof, refining furnace outside the furnace and various non-ferrous metal smelting furnace. Fused magnesite chrome brick are used on the high temperature parts of the ultra high power electric furnace wall, magnesia chrome brick made from synthetic materials are used on the high erosion area of the refining furnace outside the furnace.
