Product Description
The core components is the ZrO2 porous ceramic tubes, it is a kind of solid electrolyte, two sides separately sintering on Kong Bo (Pt) electrode. At a certain temperature, due to the different sides of oxygen concentration, high concentration of side (ceramic pipe inside 4) oxygen molecules were adsorbed on the platinum electrode and electronic (4e) combined with the formation of oxygen ion O2-, the positively charged electrode, O2- ions through the oxygen ion vacancies in the electrolyte migration to the oxygen concentration side (gas side) the electrode, negatively charged, which produce potential difference.
When the fuel is low (less dense mixed gas), oxygen in the exhaust gas, therefore the outside of the ceramic pipe oxygen ion is less, forming the electromotive force of about 1.0V;
When the air-fuel ratio is equal to 14.7, the ceramic tube electric potential inside and outside of the 0.4V~0.5V, the electric potential as the benchmark electromotive force;
When the air-fuel ratio is high (lean), high oxygen content in exhaust gas, oxygen ion concentration of ceramic and difference is small, so the generated EMF is very low, close to zero.
