General characteristics
Woven geotextiles – it is a group of flat or woven geosynthetics made usually of polypropylene fibres (PP) or polyester (PET). They fulfill separative, strengthening or filtration function in the earth works construction. They characterized by the high endurance along and across the material. They are resistant against effects of atmospheric factors such as: UV radiation, low temperatures, processes of the biodegradation. Compared to nonwoven geotextiles are of better performance parameters, lower protraction and greater endurances at the same basis weights and a little bit weaker filtering properties.
