PVA can be used as warp yarn sizing, mainly mixed with starch or acrylic, they have a good miscibility; The sizing film is soft and elastic;
It has good abrasion resistance and hairiness tackiness, easy to scatter and penetration;
It has good affinity with cotton, polyester or other fiber, easy to soluble in water.
The fabric is easy to desizing with a handful of oxidant in the boiling water, easy to desizing, Its biodegradation is fast and environmental protection
Low viscosity partially hydrolyzed PVA powder has a better affinity with hydrophobic fibre, it is very suitable for cotton, flax, polyester and other fiber.
The characteristics of textile sizing special PVA: Quickly dissolved, high concentration, low viscosity, its viscosity is equivalent to the mixture viscosity of 35 wt % PVA088 05 and 65 wt % PVA100-27, the film is soft and easy for the second twist, it is not easy to damage yarn interface and produce renewable hairiness. Good permeability, easy sizing, it can improve the wear resistance of yarn. Because it is partially hydrolyzed PVA, it's not easy to crust in the winter.
Low moisture absorption, the second viscosity is small, in the low humidity of weaving environment, it can improve the antistatic property, the yarn is not easy to pilling in weaving, so as to enhance weaving efficiency. It is suitable for high concentration, low viscosity and high pressure sizing process. Suitable for fine fineness and high density of fabric sizing. Suitable for polyester high content of polyester/cotton yarn sizing.
Usage and dosage: Textile special PVA is low foam products, but because of its low hydrolyzed degree, it will produce some foam when it is dissolving, please immerse PVA granules into the cool water to make it swollen for about 20-30 mints before dissolving, you can reduce the speed of stirring and heating in dissolving, chemical defoaming methods can be used if necessary.
PVA as fabric finishing: Thermosetting resin, such as urea formaldehyde resin or melamine formaldehyde resin, used in fiber surface treatment, in order to prevent shrinkage and wrinkling. Adding 5-10wt% of PVA in the thermosetting resin, PVA and thermosetting resin produce chemical crosslinking, it can effectively avoid reduce fiber product tear strength in the surface treatment.
On the other hand, low viscosity PVA also can be used alone, it can be used as the white fabric, common dyed fabric, calico's surface treatment, only add a small amount of PVA, the fabric can have a refraction, stiff and smooth surface effect.
