Description: Povidone Iodine is a stable chemical complex of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and elemental iodine, which is completely soluble in water, ethanol etc. PVP-Iodine can extinguish bacterial, virus, fungus effectively. It is a stable complex with no irritation, which can dissolve in water completely.
Application:
Pharmaceuticals industry: Filming coatings agent.
Cosmetics: PVP VA series products play a good role as film-former and hair-fixing agent. Its hydrophobe decreases with the increase in the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular. This property is extremely useful for PVP VA as hair sprays. If being used with PVPK30, the effect would be enhanced.
Other Utility: Remoistenable adhesive and other adhesives for paper; Viscosity-enhancing agent and protecting colloid for printing ink; Binder in coatings(paints) and protecting colloid for printing ink; Binder in coating(paints) and stabilizer for the dispersion of dyeing.
