Property:
Salicylic Acid is white crystal or crystal powders, without chemical changes in the air. It is easily to decarboxylate and change into phenol and dioxide when heated atmospherically, and the aqueous solution of Salicylic Acid appears acid reaction, becomes Salicylic Acid can purple with FeCL3. Salicylic Acid slightly dissolves in water but dissolves in boiling water easily. It dissolves in the ethanol or ether and slightly soluble in chloroform.
Use:
Salicylic Acid is material of medicine, perfume, dyestuff, pesticide and rubber cure reagent. Chiefly Salicylic Acid is used to manufacture the medicine of fever-allaying and analgesic for fever, direct dyestuff, insecticide and absorbent of ultraviolet ray.
