CIP is a "cast in place" laminated safety glass made by pouring a special liquid resin into the cavity between sheets of glass. The resin is cured in the factory by UV rays to a hard plastic state, bonding the glass sheets together. The resin lamination process is recognized as one of the most advanced, user-friendly and energy efficient methods of producing laminated glass in the world.
Cast-in-Place Resin Laminated Glass perform satisfactorily for Annealed Bent Laminated Glass, Tempered Bent Laminated Glass, Heat-strengthened Bent Laminated glass, Patterned Laminated Glass, Wired Laminated Glass, Crackle Laminated Glass, etc.
SaoSA UV curing resin is on-component, ready-to-use liquid. You don't need to mix the resin with any other catalyst to start the curing. SaoSA resin liquid can only be cured by exposing to UV-A rays radiation (UV-A wavelength: 315nm-400nm). Therefore, the laminated glass with resin liquid inside exposing to sunlight directly, because sunlight covers UV-A rays, the other way is to use the assemble of UV light tubes to make resin cured indoor. Below is the processing method.
Preparation: Make two sheets of glass clean and dry. Apply double-sided adhesive tape to the perimeter of one glass sheet and assemble the two sheets, leaving a small opening for pouring resin. Then use clips to clamp the glasses, making two glass sheets connected more tightly.
Filling: Raise one edge of the glasses at about 30-40 degree and insert the funnel into the opening. Then pour the calculated amount of cast resin into the cavity between glasses through funnel. Then lay down the glasses and let the resin flow level, using the soft rubber hammer knock the glass where there will be bubbles in order to let bubbles run out.
Curing: Put the laminated glass in horizontal position under sunlight or UV tube lights for 30-50 minutes for complete curing.
No big machineries are required in lamination job, no electric bills in production. Low investment cost and low energy consumption are involved.
