Property:
The pure stearic acid is white glossy soft flakes.Melting point is 58 and boiling point 376.1(decomposition), relative density 0.9408(2014), index of refraction ND(80)1.4299.It volatilizes at 90-100, and is slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in alchol and acetone, easy to be dissolved in benzene, chloroform, carbon disulfide and toluol etc.

Application:
