Ceramsite concrete is also known as light aggregate concrete.
It is made of cementitious material, sand lightweight aggregates preparation of, bulk density not more than 1900kg/M3. 
It can be divided into light concrete (with a light sand) and sand lightweight concrete (with regular sand).
According to purpose can be divided into insulation: Density is below 800kg/M3; structural insulation: density is 800~1400kg/M3; structure: Density is 1400kg/m3 per cent.
Lightweight aggregates heat-resistant, better fire-resistant performance than ordinary concrete, but modulus of elasticity is lower. 
Ceramsite coarse aggregate with normal sand or clay sand fine aggregate and lightweight aggregate concrete is called the ceramsite concrete. 
Structure ceramsite concrete intensitymore than 40MPa, thermal insulation and heat resistance is better. 
It can be used in building construction, bridge, and shipping and furnace bases. Ceramsite concrete, commonly known as "lightweight concrete", it solved the ordinary concrete surface density of small defects, the concrete surface drying density selection even better.

Light ceramsite concrete density levels are divided into 800, 900;1000; ... ... ;1800;1900 (KG/M3).

Features
1, ceramisite concrete light weight, its dry bulk density is 800---1900KG/M3, 2/3-1/5 lighter than normal concrete, labels can be up to CL5---CL60, due to the light weight reduces the loads on the basis, and thus make the whole building weight reduction;
2, ceramsite concrete has good insulating property, less heat loss. Lightweight synthetic aggregate concrete heat conductivity is generally 0.2---0.7KCAL/M.0C.N, more than half lower than that of ordinary concrete, thinning of wall thickness and corresponding increase in interior space, it can dramatically improve room thermal insulation properties in the equivalent wall thickness conditions. As ceramisite concrete is light-weighted, modulus of elasticity is low, allowing larger change performance, so it has a better anti-seismic performance.
3, haydite concrete's anti-permeability is good. Haydite gravel on the surface roughness, with certain water absorbing capacity, so bond ability between ceramic and cement mortar, so haydite concrete has higher permeability resistance and durability.
4, haydite concrete's fire resistance is excellent. Fire test results show that its fire resistance rating temperature can be up to 3 hours or more. Ordinary concrete's fire resistance rating temperature is 1.5---2 hours.
5, ceramsite concrete has a adaptable construction feature, not only according to the different uses of buildings andfunction, and preparation of different density and strength of concrete materials (according to their structure for thermal insulation or bearing structure and change), and simple operation, suitable for all kinds of construction method for industrial production, it can be used not only to produce various types of components (such as boards, blocks, beams, columns, and so on) and can be used in-site mechanical construction.  Its adaptability can not be matched by any other lightweight construction building materials (such as aerated).
