The type of FM is the 5th Morgan mill with heavy work duty, all of them are top cross, 45°. The gravity center is low, and get uniform rolling force, these can work stable. Main characteristics is below:
- The block is top cross 45 degree arrangement, Speed up gear box located at the exit end of block, concentrate drive block mill. the neighbor mill are perpendicular, to realize no twist rolling status, reduce shaft length, to increase the stability of block, reduce weight of block mill, easy to maintenance.
- Mandrel is embedded type, cantilever WC ring, eccentric sleeve is installed in the box for
adjustment roll gap. Oil film bearing and roll shaft are installed in eccentric sleeve, the WC ring
is fixed by taper sleeve at the end of roll. The material of roll body: 12CrNi3A. Cr coated at the
end of roll.
- The module (Taper gear box) consist of box itself, drive shaft, helix taper gear, synchronizing gear. All gear are harden tooth, to ensure high speed running stable. Material of gear is: 12CrNi3A
- Mandrel (Roll box) connect taper gear box directly by bolt, during assembly, body part of mandrel will entry taper gear box, this structure can ensure roll shaft tooth and taper gear tooth
can synchronize engaging. Roll box and taper gear box are fixed by two position pin, the same
size roll box can be changed by each other.
- Roll gap adjustment is done by screw rod with left and right thread, to rotary two group of
eccentricity sleeve going on head, the roll gap can be changed symmetry, when eccentricity
sleeve rotary, and keep steel rolling line and guide position still. The material of sleeve:
42CrNiMo.
- the roll ring is made of carbon tungsten, fixed on cantilever roll by taper sleeve, special tools is supplied for WC ring change.
- Critical part , such as : double lip seal ring, damp cushion and all roll bearings and oil film bearing are imported from SMS or Morgan or specified by buyer.
The typical sizes of finished product are within the Φ5.5mm to Φ19 mm range
