Properties:
It is colorless, transparent and syrupy liquid or rhombic crystalline; It is odorless and tastes very sour; The melting point is 42.35and when heated to 300 it will become into meta phosphoric acid; The relative density is 1.834 g/cm3; It is easily soluble in water and ethanol.
Uses:
Technical grade phosphoric acid may be used to produce variety of phosphates, metal surface phosphating treatment, making electrolytic polishing liquid or chemical polishing liquid; Also it can be catalyst, desiccant, cleaning solution, producing refractory mortar with phosphoric acid and inorganic coheretant. In coating industry it is used as a rust-proof paint for metals. As a acidity regulator and nutrition agent for yeast food grade phosphoric acid can be applied to flavors, canned food and cooling drinks as well as in wine brewery as a nutrients source for yeast to prevent the reproduction of useless bacteria. Potassium phosphates and ammonium phosphates made by pharmaceutic grade phosphoric acid can be as culture medium for antibiotic. Electronic grade phosphoric acid is widely used in large-scale integrated circuit and thin film liquid crystal display.
