Although Spiral Weld is a more challenging process compared to longitudinal welded, the following advantages are exhibited:
More Flexibility over a wide range of sizes, thus able to produce at unconventional diameters and tolerances.
An increased safety factor due to the internal stress on the Spiral Weld being less than on a longitudinal weld
The use of strip instead of plate permits more uniform wall thickness due to the close dimensional tolerance
Due to the continuous process, any length of tube can be produced as opposed to the length limitation of a plate mill.
The tube is straighter and rounder than one produced on a longitudinal mill.
Spiral Weld provides greater strength and rigidity at reduced wall thicknesses.

In May 2005, the ZFPTE laid down the standard of" Spiral Welded Stainless Steel Cage for Liquid Filter "that is not only the first but also the onlyone about the perforated tubes in China and it had been approved by the Technology Supervise Office of Gansu, P. R. China.
In July 2005, the ZFPTE not only the first but also the onlyone achieved ISO9001: 2000 rigistration in manufacturing the spiral seam welded perforated tubes in China.
In June 2006, the ZFPTE have finished five automatic rolling-welding on-line making machines for large quantities of spiral seam welded perforated tubes manufacture.
In 2007, the ZFPTE invented successfully Atuomatic rolling-welding machine reserved for the use of large diameter or thin wall spiral seam welded perforated tubes(the range of diameter is from 7mm to 325mm, the range of thickness is from 0.6mm to 3.5mm ).
In 2008, the ZFPTE have got some new successes in rsearching & developing new products. Such as louvered holes, edge joint welded seam perforated tube and lockseam perforated tubes. In the same year, we have work out a new standard < Spiral seam welded perforated pipes and tubes For Liquid Filter >Q/LZF01-2008 instead of Q/LZF01-2005.
Up to now, the ZFPTE is the leading and the largest manufacturer in spiral seam welded perforated tubes.
