T-BOAM (TimeBlue High Polymer Oil Absorption Material) is a high effect resin absorption material with micro-nano aperture. It is designed by R&D team from Soochow University and can absorb crude oil, refined oil (gasoline, diesel oil, engine oil and etc) and all kinds of lipophilic organics
T-BOAM in booms are used to clean up and recover spilt liquids. They are used like wipe and are very versatile for getting at hard to reach areas. When a spill occurs, socks or booms are used to contain the spill then pads are used to absorb the trapped liquid from the center.
T-BOAM absorption mechanism
There are three dimensional net structure for storage space inside T-BOAM, huge quantity of lipophilic driving group can lock target oil molecular instantly, and store inside T-BOAM. Through squeeze it is very convenient to desorb the locked oil, this principle enable T-BOAM have repetitive use function.
