HTD13285 digital rotational viscometer is a new model viscometer designed by our company. It adopts embedded type structure,internal high precision angle sensor and step drive which makes rotational speed more steady and precise; panel buttons are so clear that it can be easy to operate; high resolution LCD can display testing drilling fluid's viscosity value and mixing speed.
It can be widely used in oil, chemical industry, food, medicine and cosmetics and scientific research sites.
Working principle: Put testing liquid cup on the tray. Pour testing liquid into annular space forming from changing rotor and bobs. When stepping motor makes changing rotor rotate,changing rotor in testing liquid produces courter force under viscous resistance, which will produce torque to bobs in changing rotor through testing liquid. And bobs connect with a set of scale components. When the torque and viscous resistance reach the balance, scale components will be on a scale value. Since scale value is in proportion to viscous resistance, so the scale value times specific coefficient is final viscosity, At the same time, which will be displayed on LCD.
There are simple linear corresponding relationship between shearing rate and viscosity value which means shearing stress and shearing rate's relationship diagram is line. In practical application, much fluid may be not follow
Newton's laws of motion, but rheology is close to Newton's laws of motion, so viscometer can be used to test and viscosity value we got is accurate. HTD13285 digital rotational viscometer's calibration is linear calibration of Newton which is not applicable for testing sample not conforming to Newton linear calculation. In this conditions, viscosity measurement and speed calculation should use nonlinear calculation.
When changing rotor,bobs and torsional spring rotate in 300 revolution/minute, measurement unit of viscometer is centipoise. The testing data in other speed need to do multiply conversion.The sixth part will give pseudo plastic fluid's viscosity calculation.
When you choose different rotational speed or use different torsion spring-bobs, shearing rate's selected range may be changed. To broaden the range of shearing stress and measure more liquid, you can change different torsion springs to do it.
