Effective compositions and properties:
1. Metaldehyde: ≥ 4.5%; White needle-shaped crystal; Melting point: 246oC, but sublimation at 115oC; Dissolution in benzene, chloroform and depolymerization in company with heat or acid, not in water.
2. Carbaryl: ≥ 1.5%, white crystal; Melting point: 142oC dissolution in organic solvent(acetone), steadiness in the light and heat, but dissolution in alkali.
