This 70mm F6 ED Refractor features a high quality ED doublet which gives sharp, contrasty images with no false colour.
It's the perfect scope for airline portable ultra-wide imaging, costing a fraction of the price of an ED camera lens with greater contrast, plus it can be used as a cost effective light weight guide scope or wide field imager perched on top of our Imaging Newtonian. Just swap the camera and autoguider and you've got a light weight portable imaging setup at a very good price. As a spotting scope with an erect-image prism it will beat most of the high end German spotters hands down at high or low power.
Add the optional field flattener (use the option dropdown menu below) and you've got a great little imaging scope, which won't tax your equatorial mount unnecessarily - at only 2kg in weight.
The F6 ED Doublet features high quality multi coatings and the lens cell is fully adjustable so if the worst happens (I. E. You drop it) it can be re-collimated.
The optical tube sports a high quality white power coated finish with retractable sliding dew shield.
The dual speed 1: 10 focuser is both smooth and strong and provides good focussing control and it's fully rotateable, so you can frame your shot perfectly.
Included with the telescope is a hard carry case, L shaped Vixen compatible mounting bracket and 2" to 1.25" push fit accessory adapter.
