1\Product summary
For measuring the mass of air flowing through the intake passage
2\Install position
Between air filter and throttle or the super charger
3\Failure judgment
During the operation of the engine, if the check engine lamp is on, it means failure occurs in the engine system
Eliminate the failure of short circuit or disconnection in the wire harness system
Use the diagnostic tool to communicate with the ECU, reading the failure data in ECU, thus capable of judging the failures of air mass meter
4\Disassemble of failure parts
Turn off the ignition switch, disconnect the wire harness connectors.
Disassemble the connecting lines on both sides, and remove the air mass meter
Dis-assembly tools: Threaded spinning tools or clamping tools.
5\Installation of new parts
Conform DOMIT (trademark) and product No.
If there is threaded hole at the end of AMM, the connection with pipelines on both sides is threaded, otherwise the connecting type is muff coupling.
When muff coupling the two ends of AMM with the pipelines, lubricants can be used, but ensure that they do not enter the flow passages and can't be sucked in with the air flow or stuck onto the protective grid or filter grid.
Avoid installing AMM near the ignition system and/or solenoid valve, and at least space length of above 10cm shall be kept.
When installing AMM, in order to keep the condensed water from gathering on the sensor, the plug shall point up.
When installing AMM, measures shall be taken to ensure the efficiency of air filter within service life is greater than 99%.
Flow cross section along the flow direction at the inlet end shall not be enlarged, and try best to use straight pipes in the inlet end and outlet end pipelines.
Connect wire harness connectors.
6\Installation check and judgment
Start up the engine after installation, and if the check engine lamp is off, it means the installation is correct.
Important suggestions:
Impurities and greasy dirt may lead to failure of air mass meter.
Before installation, please confirm no part is polluted and please use qualified air filter.
