Use: In adhesive and sealing agent industry, C5 hydrocarbon resin is an important tackifier. It's used mostly in the hot-melt adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesive since it's C5 is most suitable in those applications. C5 hydrocarbon resin is well compatible with styrene polymers, such as SIS, SBS, SEBS, SEPS, natural rubber, synthetic rubber and EVA, as well as natural tackifier (terpene, rosin and derivatives). It improves to different degrees the properties of adhesives it's used in.

Recently, C5 resin has gradually taking the place of natural tackifier (rosin and terpene resins) due to its high peeling strength, good tack and adhesion stability, good viscosity and heat stability, good compatibility with high polymers, low price and other merits.
