Attapulgite is a kind of hydrous magnesium aluminum silicates. The typical chemical equation of it is: Mg5Si8O20(OH)2(OH2)44H2O. It's structure is generally resembles the 2: 1 type stratification Chain, and possessed of particular fiber crystal mould.
The main use is following:
1. Adsorbents, purification and catalyst of the properties of petroleum & chemical products, the treatment of waste water.
2. High quality mud for geothermal drilling and oil-well drilling.
3. Adsorbents and thickeners for medicine, clarification for wine-making.
