Tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly hilling it with jets of cold air. It results the ouler skins under powerful compressive strss and the interior with severe tensile stress. In comsequence, the impact applied to the glass will be overcome by the compressional force on the surfaces to assure safety of use.
Tempered glass is high strengh. Its compressive strength could be more than 125MPA, It is 4-5 times higher than normal glass and also shockproof. It is unwounded when a steel ball that is 0.8kg fall dowm from 1.2m high.
