Canthaxanthin as an carotenoid pigment, can be widely found in edible fungus, algae, marine crustaceans (shrimp, lobster), and in the skin and organs of many birds(flamingo and ibis) and fish.
Spring Red (Canthaxanthin) consists of violet-red to reddish-violet beadlets, with few white spots of food starch. The microencapsulation beadlets are manufactured with advanced spray and starch-catching drying technology. The individual particles containing canthaxanthin are finely dispersed in the matrix of gelatin and sucrose, coated with corn starch. Ascorbyl palmitate and mixed tocopherols are added as antioxidants.
