Toxicity: Carbofuran is highly toxic by inhalation and ingestion and moderately toxic by dermal absorption. The oral LD50 is 5 to 13 mg/kg in rats. The dermal LD50 is >1000 mg/kg in rabbits. The LC50 (4-hour) for inhalation of carbofuran is 0.043 to 0.053 mg/L in guinea pigs
