[Product Description]
Yuhong® PCC-501 cementitious capillary crystalline waterproof coating is a powdery, rigid waterproof system consisting of special cement, quartz, sand, and multiple activating chemicals. After reacting with water, the PCC-501 activating chemicals penetrate into the capillary tracts of the concrete by pressure of osmosis and form insoluble crystals which fill out cracks, pores and voids. This crystalline growth will eventually compact and waterproof the crack.

Technical Properties:
The PCC-501 coating are classified into Type I and Type II in according to their technical properties. The products meet the industry national standard "Cementitious Capillary Crystalline Waterproofing Materials" (GBl8445-2001)

[How It Works ]
1. The concrete surface of the structure should be moistened as practice

2 After reacting with water, the PCC-501 activating chemicals will penetrate into the capillary tracts of the concrete by pressure of osmosis and form insoluble crystals

3 The concrete becomes more compact and prevent water and other liquid from penetrating.

[Typical Usage]
PCC-501 can be applied in the following civil and industrial waterproofing projects: Below-grade structures, subways and tunnels, water reservoirs, and canals.

[How to Apply]
Substrate Preparation:
The concrete substrate should be clean with no oil, dust, sand or fouling. Before applying, the concrete surface should be fully moistened with no obvious water drops. (Brushes can be used to apply water on the concrete).

-Brushing Application
Scaling: Weight dry powder and water respectively in accordance with the ratio,
Dry powder: Water =1.0: 0.25~0.4.
Mixing: Pour water to a container and then dry powder, let ten minutes' mechanical mixture.
Brushing: The mixture is brushed on the substrate surface with a scrubbing brush often for two or three times. Secondary brushing should be done only after the first brushing finished and a coating has strengthened enough. The coating usage is approximately 1.0-1.2kg/m2 with the coating layer thickness more than 0.8mm.

-Dry-powder Sprinkle Application
Dry powder is sprinkled evenly on the surface of unset concrete with an amount of approximately 1kg/m2. Immediately after sprinkling, use wooden trowel or buffing machine to press the dry powder into the concrete and press and Polish until the demanded effect is met.

-Curing
Curing is done by spraying water, covering with wet objects, or putting on curing liquid, and so on. Pouring water can also be used if pouring will not deteriorate the coating layer. In this application, the curing time should not be less than 72 hours.

[Things to Pay Attention]
Construction temperature should be 5~35º C and the mixed slurry should be exhausted in 20 minutes.
After the coating layer becomes solidified, it should be prevented from puncture. If there is any damnification, it should be repaired on time.

[Packing, Storing, and Transportation ]
The products should be packed in plastic bags and then in paper cartons. Each carton weighs 20 Kg totally.
Products should be kept from moisture during storage. Normally, the storage period is one year.
The products can be transported with the same methods as nonhazardous cargos.
