Product Description

Fluorspar powder Calcium fluoride(CaF2)
Formula: CaF2.
Molecular: 78.08
Purity: 40%--98%.
Properties: Lt is colorless hexagonal, odorless and tasteless crysteless crystal with relative density 2.679. It is hygroscopic.
It is soluble in ether, insoluble in alcohol. The solubility in acid is greater than in water. It decomposes in alkaline solution and produces sodium fluoride and silicon dioxide. It is decomposed to sodium fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride by heating to300. It is toxic.
Uses: As a flux in steelmaking to reduce slag viscosity, ceramic grade is used in the glass and ceramic industries and welding rod coatings.
Aluminium production. Hydrofluoric Acid production for a wide range of organic and inorganic fluorine-bearing chemicals, and for anti fouling marine paints.
