Polymer composite covers and cast iron covers have the same property, but the polymer composite cover's price is only 2/3 of cast iron cover, the weight of this product is only 2/3 of cast iron cover. To ensure the normal use of composite manhole cover, there should be pay attention to installation quality, be sure that the size is correct, installation is solid, easy to open, clean and nice appearance. According to the technology standard of composite manhole cover, the installation is made as follows:
1. The construction of brick work should be designed according to the requirements of design institute and ensure that the inner diameter (length and width or diameter) is accurate.
2. When installing the collar on concrete roads, there should pouring a 20cm thick concrete ring beam and a 40cm width guard circle around it between the collar and brick setting to mak the surrounding compaction, level and unmoveable. The maintenance period should above 10 days.
3. When installing the collar on bituminous road must avoid a roller compaction by construction equipment. The collar must be installed after paving asphalt. A hole which is slightly larger than the collar should be reserved before the pavement casting. The reserved hole can help ensure the installation quality and prolong its using life.
4. For keeping a nice appearance, there should put a cover or brush with oil on lid to protect it from stained during asphalt pavement construction. Using plastic film cover the lid to protect the cement during cement road construction. And the lid should be cleaned after construction the same day.
5. Timely open and clean up the lid to avoid the lid integrate with collar after road paved.
6. The lid should be installed on corresponding roads according to different load capacity.
