Description:
Manganese violet is an inorganic salt ammonium manganese pyrophosphate used as a colorant. This moderately strong purple pigment is also known as Nuremberg Violet, Burgundy violet, mineral violet, permanent violet.
Our Manganese Violet is a clean, bright, blue-shade violet. It is a non-toxic, inorganic pigment.
FDA approved for use around the eyes, on the face, lips and general cosmetic use.
Use:
Manganese Violet is an intense purple violet, In cosmetics, it is commonly used in eye shadow, mascara, lipsticks, and nail varnish. The depth and vibrancy of the color as well as its exceptional safety record make it ideal for use in cosmetics including lipsticks. It can also be used to shade and tone greys and blacks. It offers good resistance to acids. Solubility in aqueous media is pH dependent, and it will lose its pigment in high pH environments.
As a deep purple pigment, Manganese Violet has been widely used in cosmetics and soap making.
The color is man-made by reacting phosphoric acid, ammonium dihydrogen orthophosphate, and manganese dioxide.
Suitable in mineral makeup formulations for eyes, face and nails! Use in soap, bath bombs, scented salts, lotions and so much more!
