Zongshen Piaggio Foshan Motorcycle Co., Ltd. is a JV ( Joint Venture) by Piaggio Group ( Italy ) and Zongshen Industry Group(China) which founded on 16th, April, 2004 with a registration capital two hundred million RMB. The company locates at zhangchai Hi-Tech Industry Zone, Foshan city, Guangdong province, and occupies an area of 110, 000 square meters, we have R&D center more than 50 engineers. Material testing laboratory in the factory, besides of these, we have advanced welding and painting houses, motorcycle assembling line and plastic injection line, Cataphoresis and packaging etc. The main equipment of production and testing are imported from Italy, the management system are set up according to Piaggio company standard.

Zongshen Industrial Group is a giant private company founded in 1992, it has R&D center, production factory and complete sales system. In DEC 2004, Zongshen was granted as the most valuable motorcycle brand.

Brand History

In 1884, Mr. Rinaldo founded Piaggio Company.
→ In 1916, Piaggio entered aeronautical manufacturing industry. During the world war, Piaggio was an important base of plane manufacturing.
→ In the more than 20 years that followed, the products of Piaggio involved in fighter, bomber, helicopter, submarine, train, ship, cable car, trailer, aerial ropeway, truck, automobile, etc.
→ In 1946, facing the widespread destruction left by the Second World War in Italy, Piaggio designed the first scooter VESPA in the world by holding the concept of manufacturing simple, economic and durable vehicles of transportation for Italian.

→ In 2004, Piaggio acquired Aprilia-Moto Guzzi Group, became the leading motorcycle manufacturer in Europe and secured its overlordship in European market.
→ In 2006, Piaggio launched an innovative scooter MP3 with two front wheels, which really combines safety, steering flexibility and practicality and again approves the abundant technical strength of Piaggio Group.

All the key components are manufactured by Zongshen Piaggio independently.
Zongshen Piaggio performs 100% test of finished motorcycles and scooters. They are not delivered for shipment unless they satisfy the national standards as well as the stricter Piaggio unified world standards. The off-line up-to-standard rate of Piaggio motorcycles and scooters is 100% in the sampling inspection on products conducted by the relevant quality inspection authority.
