Densitometers are of very wide application.They are used to determine the density of liquids heavier that water (such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid,hydrochoric acid, certain inorgamic acids and organic acids) and also the censity of liquids lighter than water ( such as the aqueoussolutions of methamol,ethanol and ether).
They are also employ to determine the density of gasoline kerosene,vegetable oil and petroleum ether.
