Balanced Flow Meter has many advantages including high-accuracy, wide measurement range (turndown ratio), minimal straight pipe requirements, low pressure loss, long-term stability, dirt resistance, wide application range and high performance/price ratio. All these features make it a very desirable flow meter.

High Measurement Accuracy
The symmetrical structure of the Balanced Flow Sensor can balance the flow field, therefore the vortex flow, vibration and signal noise can be greatly reduced, and the stability of flow field improved. Together with the specially made precision pipe and special pressure measurement device adopted on the body of the meter, the accuracy is improved 5-10 times, comparing with traditional throttling.

Low Requirement of Straight Pipe
Balanced Flow Sensor can balance the flow field and adjust the stability. In addition, the speed of the pressure restoration is 2 times faster than the traditional throttling devices which will greatly shorten the lengthy requirement of the straight pipe. In most cases, the length of straight pipe can be as short as 0.5D~2D. A great deal of straight pipe can be saved when using Balanced Flow Meter, especially the straight pipe made of expensive materials.

Low Permanent Pressure Loss
Due to the symmetrical structure, Balanced Flow Meters decrease the formation of vortex flow and turbulence friction, and reduce the loss of kinetic energy.

Wide Measurement Range

Wide Application Range
While the working temperature and pressure depend on the material and grade of the pipe and flanges, the working temperature can be 850 or higher, and the working pressure can be up to 42 MPa. It is suitable for extremely low temperature of LNG fluid, liquid air, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, liquefied ethylene, liquid hydrogen, liquid chlorine and so on, can effectively prevent from gasifying. BFM can measure dual phase gas and liquid, slurry materials, even solid particles. The structure of Balanced Flow Meter is completely symmetric, so bidirectional flow can be measured conveniently.
