1. Summarize:
Under the high temperature, there will be chemical reaction on the carboxylic group, usually is react with the amines to the amide. Dimer acid consists of micro monomer acid and few trimer acid, is able to dissolve in most organic solvent, does not disolve in the water.

Under normal temperature, its appearance is light yellow granular substance. Avirulence, nonirritating, high viscosity and good adhesive, high flash point, high ignition point, dosen't freeze under low temperature. It dissolves in most of solvents, not dissove in the water.

A. Dimer acid and the amine with additive (supplementary material) particiation will react then produce many kinds of different molecular weights polyamide in the different amount, which applies massively in manufacturing gravure or flexo printing ink.
B. Dimer acid and the multi-dimensional amine reacted to produce activated amine, it is widely applied to make the double component epoxy paint, the curing agent and the epoxy cementing material. It also can be used to make each kind of special lubricant under low temperature and the low pressure.
C. Dimer acid is used to make hot melt adhesive, which is widely used to make thermoplastic product and joint of electrical cable in the posts and telecommunifications, the communification equipment.
