The predecessor of Qingdao Hitech Automation Instrument Limited Company was the key and designated enterprise of the national machinery and electronics industry---state-operated counter factory of Qingdao and state-operated instrument plant of Qingdao, with the former having a long history for manufacturing the counters, timers and encoders for over four decades and the letter possessing a longer history of fabricating the automotive testing instruments, industrial and household appliance controllers for more than sixty years. In 1993, Qingdao Counter factory set up a joint venture with Germany Hengstler Company, Qingdao Hengstler Automation Instrument Limited Company (former Register Name). In 1997, Qingdao counters factory developed a joint-venture partnership with the multinational corporation Invensys Groupand, one of the world's Fortune 500 and took the lead in accomplishing the modern enterprises reformation in Qingdao. In 2001, Hitech electrical equipment was renamed as Qingdao Hitech Automation Instrument Limited Company.

In 1997, Qingdao Hitech adopts the first batch of ISO9001-1994 quality management system certification; The counter and timer series adopted CE and RoHS certification. In 2009, our company adopts the ISO9001-2008 quality management system certification again.
