Kolortek Dreamstar effect pigments distinguish themselves by their extraordinary sparkling effects and glamorous look.
The smooth metal oxide coating of the calcium sodium borosilicate leads to very high transparency and pure interference colors.
Due to the carefully controlled upper limit of the particle size even the Kolortek Dreamstar Glamour pigments, ranging from 30 - 150 µ M, have a remarkable pleasant skin feel.
Their performance is outstanding in respect to unique color purity and high gloss.
The pigment series is suitable for all kinds of color cosmetic and personal care applications like nail polishes, lipsticks or glosses, powders, wax based systems, emulsions and gels.

Effect pigments for bright cosmetic formulations
The SYNSTAR product line based on achromatic titanium dioxide coated synthetic fluorphlogopite powder (artificial mica) offers new ways to achieve very bright formulations.
Due to the synthetic origin of the substrate, the level of impurities is significantly lower compared to that of natural mica.
The smooth coating of titanium dioxide on synthetic fluorphlogopite leads to remarkable silvery pearlescence as well as outstanding rainbow-like colors derived from interference effects.
SYNSTAR is offered in three particle sizes:
The fine fraction of 5 - 25 µ M possesses a very pleasant skin feel and is optimized for smooth, silky and satiny effects.
The "standard" fraction of 10 - 60 µ M with an average particle size of 20 µ M is a perfect fit to create both, a clean and expressive silver effect as well as color-intense shades of gold, red and blue.
The coarse fraction of 10 - 100 µ M is ideally suited for shimmering highlights in the eye, lip and nail area. Due to the carefully controlled upper limit of the particle size, a pleasant skin feel is still achieved.
SYNSTAR effect pigments are suitable for color cosmetic applications like powders, lipsticks, glosses and nail polishes, but also can be beneficial in opaque systems like creams, lotions and gels.
