Metal Tube Rotameter

LZDC Series Variable-area Flow-meter can also be called metal-tube rotameter, Variable -Area Flow-Meter with Metallic Measuring Tube has the following advantages, simple construction, convenient maintain work, linear graduation, wide adaption which can be used to measure the flow of liquids and gas. Compared with glass-tube rotameter, this type of flow meter has the characteric of high temperature and pressure resistance, high security, easily read, and etc. It also can be used to measure the flow of corrosive medium and opaqueness medium. The meter pipe and flange are made of Icr18Ni9Ti or 18Ni12Mo2Ti. The floater is made of stainless steel. If the floater and lining are both corrosion resistant, it is made of PTFE.     
 
Working principle :
Variable -Area Flow-Meter with Metallic Measuring Tube is made up of two parts, flow sensor and flow indicator( picture 1) Floater is installed inside the conical measuring pipe. Because of the function of the fluid, it can be shifted freely up and down in the conical pipe. The biggest outer diameter of the floater and the annular area of the tapered tube change with the location of the floater. When the flow rate of the fluid is stable to one number, the floater is also in a dynamic balance. By the flow indicator connected with the taper measuring tube, the magnetic signal of the floater would be delivered by non-contact way, that is to say, the indicator can detect and deal with the flow value by the way of magnetism delivery and finally show the flow value by the pointer, which is showed on the dial of. At the same time, LCD can also read the instantaneous or the accumulated flow value, and output the standard two wire(4-20)mA signal / HART protocol.
