A nonmetallic, nonconductive optical fiber cable, GRP optical cable, FRP optical cable for use in a cable or as a component of a strength reinforcement system of a cable is provided.
The Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Rod or the Strength Member serves dual purpose. Its tensile strength provides the cable protection during installation and its rigidity prevents cable buckling during the life of the cable. It is possible to employ nonmetallic optical cables in regions with strong electromagnetic disturbances such as the vicinity of railroads, etc
Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Rods combine the high performance properties of glass reinforcements with unique resin formulation to produce a strong and cost effective cable strength member. The consistent diameter and long, splice free lengths enhance productivity in cabling operations.

FRP robs are supplied with reels or drums made of wood or plastic.
Diameter(5-15mm) rods are also available.
