Abbe refractometer is capable of measuring transparent, translucent liquid or solid refractive index nD and average dispersion nF-nC instrument (which to measure transparent liquid-based), if a thermostat connected to the instrument, it can be measured temperature is from 0 ºC to 70 ºC of refractive index nD.
Refractive index and average dispersion is an important material optical constants, and understand the optical properties of the material, purity, and the dispersion size. The instrument can measure the mass fraction of sucrose (Brix) (0-95%, equivalent to a refractive index of 1.333-1.531).
