HPMC is a kind of cellulose ether. It is rheology modifier and water retention agent. Because of these features, it is always used as a material of additives. Properties: This product is a white or kind of white powder. It is non-toxic, odorless and tasteless.
Water soluble and thickening ability: This product is soluble in cold water and come into being transparent viscous solution.
Dissolved in organic solvents: Because of containing a certain amount of hydrophobic methoxyl, this product is soluble in some organic solvent, and it can be also dissolve in water and organic mixed solvents.
Salt resistance: Because this product is non-ionic polymer, it is stable in metal salt or organic electrolyte aqueous solution.
Surface activity: The aqueous solution of this product has surface activity, it has function of emulsification, protective colloid and relatively stability.
Thermal gelation function: When the aqueous solution of the product heated to a certain temperature, it becomes opaque and turns into flocculation state with a bereft of viscosity. But after cooling, it will be transformed into the original solution state. The temperature of gel phenomenon depends on the type of product, the concentration of the solution and heating rate.
Low ash content: Because of the thermal gelation, in the process of production, it can be refined by hot water washing the products.
PH stability: The viscosity of this product's aqueous solution is stable in PH3.0-11.0.
Film-forming: This product can turns into flexible, transparent and excellent mechanical properties thin films, it has good performance of resistance to oil and grease.

In 2012, the company built a production line which can produce 30000 tons of non-ionic cellulose ether. The production line adopts the large horizontal reaction kettle, it break through the current production method with toluene as solvent, producing an environmental protection product.
The company covers an area of 200000 square meters, existing employees more than 200 people, more than 50 kinds of technical personnel. Among them, there are 20 senior technical staff. The company cooperated with domestic and foreign research institutions, developing products continuously, and built a 30000 tons of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose industrial base.
