When photocatalyst Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) illuminated by sunlight or any visible light, the electron of the valence band of titanium dioxide becomes excited. The excited electron promoted to the conduction band of titanium dioxide and created the negative-electron (e-) and positive-hole (h+) pair. The energy difference between the valence band and the conduction band is known as the 'Band Gap'. Titanium Dioxide has highest Band Gap among difference semi-conductive photocatalyst.
The positive-hole of Titanium Dioxide breaks apart the water molecule to form hydrogen gas and hydroxyl radical. The negative-electron reacts with oxygen molecule to form super oxide anion. This cycle continues when light is available.
Utilizing the strong oxidation strength of hydroxyl radical, Titanium Dioxide can effectively disinfect and deodorize indoor air.
Supply photocatalyst base air purification system. With test report according the JIS 1701.
