Jade in Anshan Xiuyan County is called Xinshan Jade in the world. It was named in "National Jade" recently. The local people have used the bright and colorful Xiuyan jade to make jade carving handicrafts for 1000 years.
The cultural unearthed artifacts-dark jade wares and fine jade handles carved with birds and animals from xiajiadian collected in the imperial Palace in Beijing are all made of Xiuyan jade.
Xiuyan jade can be devided into green and white ones with fine grained but very hard, transparent and dark green.
