JMP-BE-2617 Compass is a direction sensor for robot.
Operation Steps
1. Module Installation
(1) Fix the module level to avoid shaking.
(2) Keep at least 15cm instance from electronic parts (namely, CPU, battery, motor, etc.) to prevent interference.
(3) Plug it to RCU port (A/ D port), keeping black wire pointing to RCU's G letter, in other words, keep black wire on margin.
2. Hareware Compensation (Optional Operation)
(1) Press and hold function button ( in picture) for 3 seconds, the compass is ready when all indicators (LEDs) light up.
(2) Release function button, and wheel it clockwisely (same as the indicators light up clockwisely), slowly, and SMOOTHLY for two/three circles.
(3) When all indicators flash twice at the same time, hardware compensation is done.
Warning:
If used incorrectly, hardware compensation will cause problems, such as disordered angle reading, repeated appearance of a certain value, big angle deviation, etc. Skip this step when there is no need.
