The Quickte QTS3900 series switches are 10Gigabit IPv6 Ethernet Layer 3 switch. There are 4 types switch for this family. The product family include QTS3900-24; QTS3900-26; QTS3900-28T; QTS3900-52T. All products support IPv6 with hardware and pass the IPv6 form certification Phase II.
The QTS3900 series products are ideal for use in the distribution or aggregation layer of large networks to provide long distance fiber connections to aggregate access layer switches that are dispersed in different locations. It is also an excellent choice as a core switch for enterprise customers. The QTS3900-24 and QTS3900-26 products include over 24 GE SFP ports and can deployed at Data Center and as a convergence switch for access switches or DSLAM.
Performance and Scalability
With high switching capacity, the QTS3900 series switch support wire-speed L2/L3 forwarding and high routing performance for IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
The SFP-based Gigabit ports support various optional Gigabit Ethernet mini GBIC transceivers, for different distance fiber connections.
The 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity of QTS3900-26 is accomplished via a hot-pluggable 10 Gigabit XFP transceiver which supports distance up to 300 meters over multimode fiber and 10 to 40km over single-mode fiber(The distance depend the optical module chosen).
The QTS3900 series switch supports both AC and DC power supplies for different environment applications.
Continuous Availability
IEEE 802.1W Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol provides a loop-free network and redundant links to the core network with rapid convergence.
IEEE 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol runs STP per VLAN base, providing L2 load sharing on redundant links.
IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) increases bandwidth by automatically aggregating several physical links together as a logical trunk and providing load balancing and fault tolerance for uplink connections.
IGMP snooping prevents flooding of IP multicast traffic, and limits bandwidth intensive video traffic to only the subscribers.
