Ladle Refining furnace (LF)
Ladle refining furnace is a furnace to refine the molten steel tapping from the electric arc furnace, converter furnace, open hearth furnace, and adjust the molten steel temperature to meet the casting and rolling operation needs.
Features of the Ladle Refining furnace:
1. Raise and keep molten steel temperature. The molten steel heated by arc can get new thermal energy.
2. The argon stirring function. The argon inject the gas through porous brick equipped at the bottom part of the steel ladle. In this way, the molten steel has the stirring function.
3. Homogenization: Temperature and composition are equalized by stirring.
4. Vacuum degassing function: Vacuum degassing is through Vapour spraying pump. In this way, the product performance and purity will be improved.
